High Bay Truck Driver

39 hours minimum per week Extra Hours may be required at peak periods 5 out of 7 days including weekend work


  • Lifting pallet stock into high level racking
  • Work with and break down stock and  using safe lifting practices
  • Work in an environment that promotes good health and safety standards.
  • Use  a variety of Manual Handling Vehicles
  • Remove empty pallets and ensuring work area is to the required standard.


  • Will work with detail and accuracy whilst performing under pressure.
  • Be able to work to given timescales and standard
  • Maintain health and safety levels when using Fork lift trucks and other heavy plant.
  • Will have experience of driving vehicles


  • Previous In house licences are accepted however will be required to take a refresher with RTITB accredited instructors.

Here at wilko our Analytics team are looking for an Insight Analyst – Formats to join them based at our Head office in Worksop.

The Role

As our Insight Analyst – Formats you’ll have an insatiable curiosity to understand the Why?, implementing the appropriate analytical methodologies to provide detailed insight supporting commercial decision-making. Driven by the desire to make a difference the job holder proactively identifies commercial opportunities and drives change through action orientated insight and stakeholder relationships.

Here are just some of the things you’ll be involved in

  • Providing action-oriented insights that deliver commercial growth through advanced analytics which validates and informs strategic direction, identifies learnings of performance drivers, models’ opportunities for strategic growth and drives change.
  • Blend and translate market analysis, price and promotions, basket analysis, commercial product classification, digital and retail analysis and distil to the killer insights which optimise business strategy and activity plan.
  • Working with internal stakeholders and external retail metrics and insight providers to continually develop our retail formats and marketing effectiveness programs, as well as using skills and experience to support other workstreams within the Analytics team where effectiveness measures are required.
  • Applying appropriate statistical models and techniques, econometrics, A/B testing and market intelligence to understand and measure the commercial impact of our business changes made through our test and learn program.
  • Working collaboratively with stakeholders to develop and execute their strategic plans and tactical objectives. Developing shared understanding of key drivers of performance and opportunities and produce succinct action orientated insights. Through understanding their needs and business challenges, be responsible for designing, building and implementing tools and dashboards which efficiently and effectively meet the requirements and provide continuous training and support.
  • Working in partnership to get the most out of our third-party supplier relationships through service excellence, providing best in class developments, holistic insights and benchmarking and building wilko insight capability and knowledge.
  • To ensure that we make the best use of our retail store estate, maximising footfall, conversion and basket spend through data driven opportunities and test & learn principles.

What we need from you

We need someone with a degree level education in STEM subject or equivalent experience in analytics. We need this along with:

  • Experience of data extraction and wrangling, utilising either proprietary tools/languages (Alteryx, T-SQL etc) or open source programming languages such as R / Python is essential.
  • Experience of visualising information using Power BI/Tableau/similar essential.
  • Experience of applying complex statistical and analytical modelling is essential.
  • Advanced user of Excel essential.
  • Experience in any of econometrics, segmentation, machine learning, and behavioural modelling is advantageous.
  • Proven experience in an analytics role.
  • Extensive experience in manipulating large and disparate data sets, applying complex statistical and analytical modelling, to create user friendly action orientated insight.
  • Experience in data visualisation including development of bespoke dashboards and tools.
  • Commercial in outlook and understands the current business challenges within retail.
  • Demonstrating strong knowledge of the market, economic factors and competitors.
  • Previous experience in statistical modelling and test measurement within a retail environment is preferable.
  • Strong communication and emotional intelligence skills to build relationships with key stakeholders at all levels whilst ensuring independent, evidence-based insights are delivered.
  • Ability to manage own time, workload and multi-task under pressure with strict time constraints.
