You will support the IKEA store to improve the “meeting with the customer” by delivering on daily operational standards, efficiency and quality of service. You will ensure payment is handled in a reliable, efficient, accurate and friendly way. You will offer the customer product knowledge and services available to meet the individual’s needs. You will ensure accuracy and understand the impact of stock inventory.
In this role your key tasks will include;

Preview Visual Merchandise/Activity Co-Worker
WHO YOU ARE
As Visual Merchandise Co-worker you must be passionate about home furnishing and people’s life at home. You will contribute to positioning IKEA as the first choice for home furnishing in the Primary Market Area. Being creative, you have a hands on approach and are able to work in a fast paced environment. You have demonstrated your ability in taking initiative and meeting deadlines. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about working with others as a team, and is confident when dealing with key stakeholders in the business.
This role requires a Tertiary education in either Art, Visual Merchandising or Industrial Design, proficiency in AutoCAD and performing basic carpentry work.
Visual Merchandise Co-workers support customer self-choice in the IKEA store and the IKEA mechanical sales system. As a part of the store visual merchandise/activity team they draw upon extensive knowledge of people’s life at home and their high level of home furnishing competence to present and communicate the IKEA product range in ways that make it attractive and relevant to the local market.
It requires visualising, then re-producing the uniqueness of the IKEA product range within specialty shops, compacts, studios, the Self-Serve furniture area, the Swedish Food Market and activities throughout the store to distance us from the competition.
This role works closely with Sales and Logistics to share knowledge, while respecting each other’s responsibilities to present the range in the most commercial and inspiring way. It involves working with team members to show solutions in many different styles, functions and price profiles, ensuring they are kept up to date and exceeding customer expectations.
